In 1995, Trip Martin took a chance on me when he invited me to be GeorgiaLink’s first intern. Skin was still in the Senate and Boyd was just starting to dive into lobbying full time. That internship launched my near 30-year career in Georgia politics. Looking back, I met some lifelong friends that Session including then-State Senator Sonny Perdue (at a hockey game with Trip), and then-Aide to Senator David Ralston Spiro Amburn who I have spent most – if not every - Sine Die with since my internship. I am proud to see the list of interns that I have had the pleasure to work with at GeorgiaLink thrive and do amazing things over the years.
